The second medal of Ukraine in Duisburg
Ukrainian rowers won a bronze medal in the 500m canoe quads World Cup 2023which takes place in Duisburg, Germany.
The four in Vitaly Vergeles, Andrey Rybachok, Dmitry Yanchuk And Taras Mishchuk covered the distance in 1 minute and 32.725 s. The Ukrainians lost to the Spanish champions (1:30.808) and the silver medalists from Poland (1:32.373).
Recall that the canoe four won the bronze of the World Championship in 2022. Then the team was represented by Vergeles, Rybachok, Mishchuk and Yuri Vandyuk.
This is Ukraine’s second medal at the World Championships in Duisburg. Yesterday, the Ukrainian foursome, consisting of Oleg Kukharik, Dmitry Danilenko, Igor Trunov and Ivan Semykin, took third place in the 500m kayak race.
The 2023 World Championships in rowing and canoeing takes place from 23 to 27 August. Ukraine has already won two Olympic licenses in rowing.
