Chelsea officially announced the signing of the New England Revolution goaltender George Petrovich. The Serb has signed a seven-year deal with the Premier League club with an option to extend for another year.
It was reported that Chelsea would pay the MLS club £12.5m guaranteed plus £1.5m in additional bonuses.
The 23-year-old Serbian has made 25 appearances for New England in all competitions this season. Petrovich conceded 29 goals in them, keeping 8 clean sheets.
Chelsea have signed Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. At the same time, the Blues released Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan to Real Madrid until the end of the season.
Chelsea have won four points from their first three Premier League matches. In the next match, the team of Ukrainian Mikhail Mudrik will play with Wimbledon on August 30 in the English League Cup.
