Ukrainian won by unanimous decision

Champion WBO International in lightweight Denis Berinchik (18-0, 9 KOs) successfully defended his title against the Swede Anthony Yigita (27-4-1, 10 KOs).

In the first rounds, the fight was equal, but with a slight advantage of Berinchyk. By the middle of the fight, the Ukrainian began to act more actively and his blows began to reach the goal more and more often. At the same time, the Swede opened a dissection.

At the end of the fight, Denis was also better. Note that in the 12th round, the boxers gave the fans an incredible exchange of punches.

As a result, Berinchyk won by unanimous decision – 117:111 115:113, 116:112.

Berinchyk defended his WBO International title for the eighth time. The Ukrainian won the championship belt in 2018.

In June, Berinchyk was supposed to fight Italian Emiliano Marsili. However, the Ukrainian refused to fight and vacated the EBU lightweight belt, which Denis won in December 2022 after defeating Frenchman Ivan Mendy.

The fight between Berinchyk and Yigit took place on the undercard of the fight between WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and WBA Regular title holder Daniel Dubois.

Earlier on the undercard of Usyk vs. Dubois, Daniel Lapin (8-0, 2 KOs) defeated German Aro Schwartz (20-7-1, 13 KOs) to win the IBO Continental light heavyweight title. Yaroslav Khartsyz got his third victory in the professional ring in a duel against the Pole Konrad Chaikovsky.

Fedor Cherkashin (22-1, 14 KOs) lost to the Frenchman Anahuel Ngamissenga (13-1-1, 6 KOs) by decision of the majority of judges, and Dmitry Mitrofanov (13-1-1, 6 KOs) lost by technical knockout to Hamza Shiraz (18-0 , 14 KOs). These are the first defeats of Ukrainians in their professional career.
