The BORA‑Hansgrohe team led by a Russian cyclist Alexander Vlasov took tenth place in the first stage of the Vuelta a España, which spans several days.
The Vuelta kicked off on Saturday in Barcelona with a team time trial. First place was won by the DSM-Firmenich team, which covered 14.8 km in 17 minutes 30 seconds. The Movistar cyclists came second with the same time, the EF Education-EasyPost team closed the top three (0.06 seconds behind).
BORA‑Hansgrohe lost 28 seconds to the winners.
The second stage of the “Vuelta”, with a length of 182 km, will take place on Sunday.
