Girev on the start of the festival in Yekaterinburg: “It was like training against attrition”

Olympic medalist in swimming Ivan Girev said the start at the International University Sports Festival was good endurance training for him.

Girev won the 100m freestyle at these competitions in Yekaterinburg.

– We did not qualify for the combined relay. It was possible, in principle, to give everything in the 100m at the end of the competition, sailed to the buzz, there were no more forces, that was just it. There is not even anything to say.

– In work mode, I’m away from some small details, of course, but the focus is on work. There are some inconveniences in the countryside, in terms of food, this must be improved.
