Ukraine finished the championship in 7th place in the medal standings
National team of Ukraine in rhythmic gymnastics won third place in World Cup 2023 in the group final with three ribbons and two balls.
The Ukrainian team, represented by Elizaveta Azza, Diana Baeva, Daria Duda, Alina Melnik, Maria Vysochanskaya and Oleksandra Yushchak, until the last moment claimed silver, second only to China, but the Israeli team showed the best result and eventually became the champion.
In addition to this final, Ukraine also made it to the group final with five hoops, but failed to get to the medals there – seventh place.
The Ukrainian team for the first time in five years won a group medal at the World Championships. And for the first time in 8 years, Ukrainian athletes won more than one medal at the world championship (we recall that earlier Victoria Onoprienko became a bronze medalist in exercises with clubs).
Let us recall that earlier our gymnasts won the Olympic license in the team all-around.
The World Championship in Spanish Valencia is over. Two “bronze” allowed Ukraine to finish in 7th place in the medal standings.
