Athletistic/ Others. Magnus Carlsen of Norway and Hans Niemann of the United States have settled a legal dispute, according to Chess.com, which acted as a defendant in the process.
In September, Carlsen withdrew from the final stop of the Grand Chess Tour in St. Louis after losing to Niemann in the 3rd round. The 32-year-old Norwegian faced the American chess player again on September 19 during the online Champions Chess Tour and decided to retire after two moves.
Later, Magnus accused Hans of cheating and the American chess player took legal action against the Norwegian, as well as against Hikaru Nakamura, who supported him, and against the website chess.com.
