Newcastle captain Lascelles injured his ear after a street fight

The football player, along with his brother, was attacked near a nightclub

Captain Newcastle Jamal Lascelles received a minor ear injury as a result of an attack near a nightclub and the ensuing street fight.

The incident happened in the early hours of the morning of August 20 in Newcastle city center near Chinawhite on Westgate Road. The 29-year-old football player and his teenage brother were reportedly attacked. After that, there was a massive brawl, in which Captain Forty took part.

Video of the incident went viral online. It shows Lascelles wearing a green vest over a black T-shirt, punching opponents and getting hit in the ear. Police have already issued a statement calling on witnesses to the riots to testify.

Whether something is imputed to Jamal himself, and also whether an ear injury will interfere with his next performances, is not reported.

Lascelles is a centre-back who has been playing for Newcastle since 2014. In total, he played for Forty 225 fights, scored 14 goals. He has been on the bench in all three games this season.

Newcastle scored three points in three rounds, defeating Aston Villa and losing Man City to Liverpool. Eddie Howe’s team, which qualified for the Champions League last season, is now 13th in the Premier League.
