Olympic diving champion Elena Vaitsekhovskaya believes 2022 Games silver medalist in figure skating Alexandra Troussova will not return to the professional rink.

Trusova, 19, was not on the list of participants in the pre-season skating tests of the Russian national figure skating team.

– Alexandra Trusova interrupted training at CSKA, which she did not really start after the Beijing Games. This seems to mean that the era of the last victorious generation of single Russian skaters has come to a logical conclusion. Of the Olympic trinity, only Kamila Valieva remained on the sports ice, whose career future is now hard to believe in connection with the approach of the doping verdict. Specifically, it is hard to believe that this verdict will be positive for the athlete.
