Italians beat USA to win men’s medley relay gold at Worlds

Italy national team won the men’s 4x100m medley relay at the World Swimming Championships in Budapest with a European record.

The Italians swam the distance with a score of 3 minutes 27.51 seconds, the second place was taken by the American team (3: 27.79), the third – the British team (3: 31.31) . This is the first victory in the men’s medley relay in the history of Italian swimming.

Team USA won the women’s medley relay with a score of 3:53.78, followed by the Australians (3:54.25) and Canadians (3:55.01) in third.

Won the 50m freestyle Sara Siestrom (Sweden), who clocked 23.98, Katarzyna Wasik (Poland) – second (24.18), Australian Meg Harris – third (24.38).

15 years old summer macintosh (Canada) won the 400m medley in a world junior record 4:32.04, followed by Americans Kathy Grimes (4:32.67) and Emma Veyant (4:36.00) in second and third place.
