On Tuesday August 29, we learned of the disappearance of Russian figure skater Alina Gorbacheva, winner of the Russian junior championship in February of this year. On Monday, August 28, around seven o’clock in the evening, she left the Chkalov Arena ice rink, northwest of Moscow, and went to the park. That’s where she got lost in the first place.

Information about the disappearance of the figure skater was reported by her mother Ekaterina Gorbacheva and coach Sofya Fedchenko. Moreover, the skater lived in Khimki with a coach. In a recent interview, Gorbachev spoke about his difficult relationship with his mother. Immediately, information appeared in the media that Alina Gorbacheva had a fight with her coach. In addition, one of the possible causes of the conflict was the athlete’s nutritional problems.

Initially, the search for Alina Gorbacheva was conducted in the Moscow River region. However, the search and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations did not find her. Divers also checked the river for a body. Research continued and efforts were made by almost all representatives of the figure skating community in Russia.

On the evening of August 29, Alina Gorbacheva was found in one of the cinemas. She was taken to the police station. It turned out that the figure skater spent the night at the entrance to one of the residential buildings. Then she walked around the city, and in the evening she went to the cinema, where she planned to sleep during the session.

On August 30, Alina Gorbacheva posted a post on social networks in which she said that she was fed up with everything, but that her escape was not related to the coach. At the same time, she intends to continue her sports career. Reports appeared in the media that the guardianship authorities are monitoring the family of the figure skater. The athlete’s father Dmitry Gorbachev said the question of who the skater would live with was being decided.
