The transfer amount was more than half a million euros
Alexandria officially announced the sale of its main defender Vladislav Baboglo to Lviv Carpathians. The amount of the transfer was 585 thousand euros.
The 24-year-old central defender, who plays for the Moldova national team, was the captain of Ruslan Rotan’s team. This season, he played all five matches without substitutions, gave one assist.
Since 2018, Baboglo has played 111 matches for Alexandria, scoring 6 goals and providing 7 assists. In 2023, he made his debut for the Moldovan national team and scored the winning goal against Poland (3:2) in the 2024 Euro qualifiers. Previously, he played for the youth team of Ukraine (2019-2020) under the leadership of the aforementioned Rotan.
In July, the Grand Moldavian football Sheriff was interested in Vladislav.
Alexandria is in seventh place in the UPL with 7 points after five rounds. Karpaty, having scored 13 points, together with Niva from Buzova, head the table of Group A of the First League. On September 2, Lviv residents will host the Epicenter.
