– It seems that it would be possible to put an end to it, but not at the Games, but at the Russian Cup, but at the moment I am waiting for something else to be done. At the start, I went to the stages of the World Cup. Subconsciously, I hope that our team will be authorized and that I can go to these stages. But now, I feel within me the strength to be able to do something else. I don’t want to quit synchronized swimming, I love synchronized swimming, I realized that I really love it only after Tokyo.

As synchronized swimming does not let me go at all, I had several ideas, together with other people from other regions, on how it could be developed further in the world – in business, in art . I’ve always loved the creative part. So at the same time I cook solo, I also stay in sports, but I gently descend the stairs to ordinary life.

This year there will be the Russian Cup and the coach would like me to participate. We are doing a solo. It’s in the plans. Friendship Games in December – if I’m fit I’d like to play.

I would like to go to the Games in any role, that is, the plan is in three cycles. If they said now that our team is leaving, I would try to come back if they didn’t destroy me inside because I came back. But that doesn’t exist – if I don’t go, my life will end,” Chigireva said in an interview with YouTube channel Peretrem.
