Athletistic/ Figure Skating. This fall, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will examine the case of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva. In December 2021, she passed a positive doping control. In this regard, no medals were awarded for the team tournament of the 2021 Olympics.
Teams from the United States, Canada and Japan have asked the CAS to allow their representatives to attend the hearings in Valieva’s case. However, the court rejected their claims.
Recall that in the team tournament of the 2022 Olympics, the Russian team took first place, the American team took second, the Japanese team took third, and the Canadians took fourth.
