French figure skating coach Brian Joubert is suspected of several “acts of violence”, according to L’Obs.
The 2007 world champion is the manager of the Poitiers club. The French Ice Sports Federation has opened a disciplinary investigation against Joubert.
– We have received reports of acts of violence, so we have given instructions to the disciplinary commission, which is our responsibility. Several investigations, administrative and judicial, are currently underway,” said the president of the federation, Gwenaël Nouri.
According to the publication, an administrative investigation has been opened in Poitiers by the departmental youth and sports service. The former figure skater himself denies his guilt.
Joubert is 38 years old, he is triple European champion, winner of the Grand Prix Final of the 2006/07 season.
