Hamilton extends contract with Mercedes until the end of 2025

George Russell will also remain with the team until the end of the 2025 season.

Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton extended the contract with Mercedes. The new agreement of the 38-year-old Briton is calculated until the end of 2025.

Hamilton has been driving for Mercedes since the 2013 season and has since won the overall Formula One title six times. Lewis first became world champion in 2008 with McLaren.

Mercedes also said that Hamilton’s teammate in the 2024 and 2025 seasons will be George Russellwho has been with the team since 2022.

In the current season of Formula 1, Hamilton scored 156 points and is fourth in the overall standings. Russell is in seventh position with 99 points.

The next Formula 1 Grand Prix will be held in Italy on 3 September. Red Bull driver Max Verstappen leads the overall standings with 339 points.
