Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Honored coach of the USSR in figure skating Tatyana Tarasova shared her opinion on the participation of figure skaters Alexandra Trusova, Alina Zagitova, Kamila Valieva and Anna Shcherbakova in non-figure skating events.
“The girls are out of season now, so it’s only normal for them to try out other sports. It’s necessary for development, as well as for fun. We tried a lot too. Someone someone tried to prove themselves in ballet, someone in folk dancing, someone – in acrobatics. For example, I took my students to the academy of circus arts, where they were taught to do somersaults”, Sport24 quotes Tarasova in reference to RIA Novosti Sport.
On June 9, Olympic silver medalist Alexandra Trusova took part in the athletics competition in the long jump discipline as part of Moscow Athletics Week.
On June 25, as part of Moscow Sports Day, Alina Zagitova held a boxing fight with two-time Olympic boxing champion Oleg Saitov, Kamila Valieva held an open fitness training, and Anna Shcherbakova took part in a battle bray dance.
