Figure skater Vasilisa Kaganovskaya said that the reason for the collapse of the dance duo with Valery Angépol became a contract, according to which she had to take a partner “for full material support”.
On Thursday, the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) announced that the duo had ceased to exist by mutual agreement.
– Dear friends, as you have already seen, our couple no longer exists. And I want to tell you the truth. I never took the dirty laundry out of the cabin, but now I won’t be silent.
It all started on July 4: Valera told me he didn’t want to skate with me. I know the reason very well, he told his friend and my mother. And she had nothing to do with figure skating. It was, to put it bluntly, personal. I won’t go into details because I don’t think it’s fair. But the next day he changed his mind and started saying he didn’t want to skate because he didn’t like the way I was training. He told me that I beat him, that I did bad work, that I treated him horribly, etc. Anzhelika Alekseevna (Krylova – coach – about) and I did everything to save the couple. For a while it worked.
We discussed everything and prepared the skate tests. But three days ago Valera brought a contract to practice and said if I didn’t sign it by September 1, he wouldn’t skate with me. A contract that I must support him. You can see the content for yourself, I attached a photo. We tried to talk, Anzhelika Alekseevna offered other different solutions, but Valera said that this was her condition and only in this way he, stepping over himself, would skate with me in pairs. Neither me, nor my family, nor my coach, no one was going to work in such conditions. That’s why we don’t ride together anymore. And it’s not a mutual decision, just Valera’s decision.
But I am grateful for these five years. There have been many good times and victories. I have learned a lot over the years. And I move forward. I love my job and I’m full of motivation to keep skating, but with another person. Thank you to all the fans for their support, Kaganovskaya wrote on the social network.
