Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina commented on reaching the third round of singles on US Open-2023.
“I try to play a little more aggressively. I’m not young anymore, so I need to hit a little harder to run less. But I trust my physical condition and I am very glad that I returned to the game.
“These games are what I trained for. Playing in front of you guys is really something special. So thank you very much for your support,” the Ukrainian concluded.
Elina in the second round defeated Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, who performs under a neutral flag. The three-set meeting lasted two hours and 48 minutes.
