“There will be no representatives from Russia and Belarus at the Asian Games. This decision was made by the IOC and not the OCA,” the OCA said in a statement, according to The Indian Express.
Earlier, the OCA had agreed to allow up to 500 athletes from these two countries to participate in the Asian Games so that they could qualify for the Olympics. However, IOC approval was required for final approval of this decision and the OCA has not received confirmation.
