Defender Evans has officially returned to Manchester United

The experienced Northern Irishman is a graduate of Manchester United who played at Old Trafford from the beginning of his career until 2015

Manchester United officially announced the signing of quarterback for one season Johnny Evans.

The 35-year-old became a free agent in the summer after leaving relegated Leicester.

In July, the centre-back with 91 caps (4 goals) for Northern Ireland joined the Red Devils and made a strong impression on Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff. The club decided to offer him a one-year contract.

Johnny is a Manchester United alumnus. Evans played for the club from 2006 to 2015 (with interruptions), having won three Premier League titles, as well as triumphing in the 2007/08 Champions League and the 2008 Club World Cup. Also in his career – performances for Sunderland, West Bromwich and Leicester.

Manchester United at the start of the season scored 6 points in three rounds and is in 8th place. On September 3, the bronze medalist of the last championship will go to visit the vice-champion Arsenal.
