Kostornaya became a choreographer at the Evgeni Plushenko Academy. The 20-year-old figure skater will help academy athletes prepare for show programs.

In early 2023, Kostornaya announced the transition from single to pair skating and began performing with Georgy Kunitsa. On August 12, the skaters got married.
Kostornaya and Kunitsa will take part in the Russian national team’s pre-season skating tests, which will be held on September 16-17 at the capital’s Megasport.
