“Our family has no financial problems, thank God.” The mother of figure skater Angelopol – about the breakup of the couple with Kaganovskaya

skater’s mother Valerie Angelopola denied reports that her son’s partner Vasilisa Kaganovskaya it was offered to take the skater for material support, noting that the main element of the contract between the parties was the Code of Business Ethics of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR).

On Thursday, the FFKKR announced that the dance duo had ceased to exist by mutual agreement. After that, Kaganovskaya said that it was the partner’s decision, and the reason for the collapse was the contract that Angelopol offered her to sign, according to which she had to take the partner “for full material support.”

— Our family has no financial problems, thank God. None of our partners have ever been charged with the financial responsibility of a partner, although such proposals have often been received from parents of girls. Vasilisa and her mother are still registered in our apartment absolutely free of charge, although people pay money for registration in Moscow, and in our “greed story”, from the very beginning it would be possible to “make pay a partner. It is not our choice. I wish that Vasilisa learned to be honest, and first of all with herself, deceiving everyone, everyone is only deceiving themselves, – wrote Svetlana Angelopol.

The skater’s mother added that she was mistaken about the duo’s coach Anzhelika Krylova, whom she has known for 30 years.

– Angelique has always been sure of my unlimited confidence in her, of my unconditional support, I stood aside, leaving my son entirely at her disposal.

A sports couple is two partners, each with their own characteristics and abilities. The job of a coach is the job of a teacher, a mentor and an educator, a very difficult job, not everyone can handle it. I was approached at the very last moment, when it was necessary to extinguish an already raging conflict, and she knew that I succeeded. This time another conflict was extinguished, although it was very difficult to do so.

Drafting an agreement which would be above all of a disciplinary nature, such was the coach’s proposal. And it was this agreement that managed to save the couple in this conflict, giving Valera written guarantees that in the event of a further violation of business ethics, this agreement could be terminated unilaterally. The draft agreement and the FFKKR’s Code of Business Ethics, attached, were sent by me to Angélique on August 8th.

All the financial aspects specified in the contract were purely conditional, since they were initially covered by the financing of the federation (and the ice, and the costumes, and the equipment, and all the rest). Everyone who has read this treatise has read it in their own way, someone has not read it at all. But a very important aspect has been left out – the mutual responsibility of both partners in the event of violation rather of an appendix to the contract – the Code of Business Ethics of the FFKKR, that is, discipline. I will insist on this point.

It’s a shock to me that Angelica waived the contract, claiming that she had known at the end of August, that she was the initiator of this contract, thus throwing all responsibility on us. I note once again, she received it on August 8, – added Svetlana Angelopol.

Kaganovskaya and Angelopol are the winners of the Russian Grand Prix final last season.
