Shakhtar’s coach about the victory over Minay
Head coach Miner Patrick van Leeuwen commented on the confident victory of the team over Minay (4:1) in the 6th round championship of Ukraine.
“I think there was a very good pace during the game. We had a lot of chances in the first half, but we couldn’t convert them. After the break, the situation has changed. Our players in the second half were able to take advantage of the chances, the creativity in their actions was visible. We used all our moments thanks to the energy that appeared on the field. I think we scored good goals today and deserved to win,” said van Leeuwen.
“We are all looking forward to the European Cups, this is a huge responsibility. I’m sure we’ll prepare well and do our best in the Champions League.”
Shakhtar continues to lead the UPL with 14 points. Van Leeuwen’s team will play the next match on September 16 with Obolon.
