russian cyclist Alexander Vlasov playing for the Bora-Hansgrohe team, finished 10th in the eighth stage of the Vuelta a España stage race.
The Slovenian Primoz Roglic of Jumbo‑Visma became the winner of the stage. Belgian Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick‑Step) finished second at the finish line, Spaniard Haun Ayuso (UAE Team Emirates) completed the top three.
In the general classification of the Vuelta, after eight stages, the American Kuss Sepp (Jumbo-Visma) is in the lead, Vlasov is 15th (+4 minutes 5 seconds).
The ninth stage of the 184.5 km multi-day race will take place on Sunday 3 September.
