The Ukrainian spent on the bench the lost match between Valencia and Alaves
Head coach Valencia Ruben Baraja spoke about why he did not release a newcomer to the Ukrainian team Roman Yaremchuk in a match with Alaves (0:1).
“He had a very difficult week, during which he hardly trained, and I think that Roman should not have taken risks in this situation. He needs to pick up the pace, calm down and work so that he is available to the team. He wasn’t ready for a game like today’s.”
Yaremchuk got into Valencia’s squad for the match, but did not enter the field.
The Ukrainian moved to the Spanish club on the last day of the summer transfer window. Roman will be on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Valencia scored 6 points and is in 11th place in the Example. In the next round, the Bats will host Atlético on September 16.
