Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Former Russian athlete, Olympic 800m champion Yuri Borzakovsky has backed the idea of figure skaters Kamila Valieva and Anna Shcherbakova trying their hand at athletics after Alexandra Trusova.
“I fully support Trusova’s initiative, she did well, she tried herself in another sport. This contributes to the popularization of athletics, a famous athlete from the world of figure skating came to another sport. I would like Shcherbakova and Valieva to try their hand at athletics? Of course, why not,” Borzakovsky said.
On June 9, Alexandra Trusova took part in athletics competitions, which were held as part of the Week of Athletics in Moscow. In the discipline “long jump” Trusova took 6th place out of 6.
