The new head coach of the LNZ – about the match in which his wards shared points with the vice-champion of Ukraine
Head coach LNZ Oleg Dulub commented on the draw in the match with SC Dnepr-1 in the sixth round Ukrainian Premier League (0:0).
“First of all, I am grateful to the players for this successful game, for this first point that we received in a difficult fight against Dnipro-1. For us it is important, first of all, in psychological terms.
“I would not say that the start for us was completely unsuccessful. There was a victory over Minay, then a Cup game, although there was a decline. And in the match with Metallist 1925 we had to take at least one point, but we could have taken all three. After this match, we changed the entire training process, started communicating with the players, and this is not an easy process, but I think that we will go through everything step by step.”
“Now we need to stabilize the squad, stabilize the game and climb a few steps in the standings.”
The Cherkasy club scored points for the first time after three defeats in its debut season in the Premier League. With four credits, LNZ occupies the 15th (penultimate) place in the standings.
Dulub became the coach of this club on August 30, replacing the previously sacked Oleksandr Kovpak.
The next round in the Ukrainian championship will take place after the international break. The Dulub team will host Rukh on August 17.
