Delegations of Ukraine and four other countries left the Congress of the European Volleyball Confederation in principle

Another Congress turned into a scandal European Volleyball Confederation (EKV). The delegations left him ahead of schedule Ukraine, Poland, Estonia, Latvia And Lithuania.

Thus, the representatives of the above-mentioned countries declared their principled position regarding the actions of the leadership of the CEV, which unexpectedly allowed representatives of Russia and Belarus to the event.

“It is simply immoral to sit next to representatives of a country that, in the center of Europe in the 21st century, unleashed a war of conquest that claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people!” – stressed the President of the Volleyball Federation of Ukraine (VVU) Mikhail Melnyk.

Solidarity with the Ukrainian side was expressed by representatives of the volleyball federations of Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The HLF, represented by its president, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the federations of friendly countries.

Earlier, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) extended the suspension of Russian and Belarusian teams from participating in international competitions. The order applies to all tournaments under the auspices of the FIVB, including beach volleyball and snow volleyball.

Also, the Administrative Council of the Federation decided not to display the national teams of Russia and Belarus in the world rankings for the duration of the suspension.
