Olympic speed skating champion and State Duma deputy Svetlana Jourova told that the decision of the International Swimming Federation (World Aquatics) on the criteria for admitting Russians to international competitions was awaited.

On Monday, World Aquatics approved the criteria that will allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete in neutral status. Among the criteria are the lack of active support for the NWO, as well as the absence of national flags and anthems. Individual neutral athletes will only be permitted to compete in events where the time or outcome is determined by an athlete’s performance. Thus, the Russians will not be able to perform at the 2024 Olympics in Paris in synchronized swimming.
