Krasnikov: I don’t know who Bereza is, I’ve never seen him and never talked to him

Former sports director of Dnipro-1 responded to criticism, appreciated his work in tandem with Kucher and shared his opinion on Dovbik’s transfer to Girona

Former sports director SC Dnepr-1 Evgeny Krasnikov reacted to the words of the honorary president of the club Yuri Bereza in his address, and also appreciated his work in tandem with Alexander Kucher.

“I didn’t read Bereza’s interview. I don’t know who Bereza is, I’ve never seen him and never talked to him.”

“The measure of work in football is the result. We managed to create a combat-ready team. Last season, Dnipro-1 fought for the UPL championship until the penultimate round, left the Conference League group, earned money in European competitions, and Dovbyk became the top scorer of the Ukrainian championship. As they say in football: the scoreboard.

When asked whose main merit was the transfer of Dovbik from Dnepr-1 to Girona, Krasnikov answered as follows:

“First of all, this is the merit of Artem himself, who scored 24 goals last season. But besides being a great football player, he is also a decent person. Artem could leave as a free agent and get a better contract, and his agent Alexei Lundovsky could get a good commission. To the credit of Artem and his agent, he extended the contract with Dnepr-1 and gave decent money to the club in which he became a star.

Recall that Bereza in a recent interview called the Kucher-Krasnikov couple “the main culprits for the departure of Dnepr-1 from European competitions.”

After a recent loss to Obolon, Alexander Kucher, along with his staff, resigned from the post of head coach. Krasnikov also left his post earlier. The functionary said that he was going to return to Metalist.

Dnipro-1 after four played matches takes 13th place in the standings of the championship of Ukraine. In the next match, the team temporarily managed by Valery Gorodov will play against Kolos.
