At the Tokyo Games, our country had 19 medals and 44th position in the overall standings

Ukrainian Olympic team able to win three gold medals at the 2024 Summer Olympicswhich will take place in Paris. In total, our country is predicted 17 awards, which will take 17th place in the overall standings of the Games in terms of the number of awards won. This is the forecast of the well-known analytical company Gracenote.

According to her calculations, the medal table of the Games in Paris will be won by the United States, which can count on 126 awards, of which 35 are gold. In terms of total awards, the US should surpass its record in Tokyo. It is also predicted that US athletes will win awards in 30 disciplines, which will also be a national record. By the way, if the US wins the medal count, it will do so for the eighth time in a row at the Summer Games.

In second place, according to analysts, China should finish, however, the number of awards won by athletes from the Celestial Empire, in comparison with the Games in Tokyo, will decrease quite significantly – by 15 sets.

France must compete with China in the fight for second place. According to analysts, the hosts of the Games will be able to count on 58 awards, which is significantly more than at the Tokyo Olympics (33). At the same time, the French predict 31 gold medals.

The UK, according to analysts, will finish in third place in terms of the number of awards, but there will be only 18 gold medals. According to experts, British athletes have won medals in at least 20 disciplines at the last three Summer Games and this trend is expected to continue.

And Japan, which can practically repeat its result at home Games, should close the TOP-5 in terms of the number of awards. True, the “quality” of awards will decrease – gold medals are predicted to be almost two times less than at the home Olympics two years ago.

Note that analysts did not calculate the possible indicators of representatives of the aggressor countries – Russia and Belarus. According to experts, given that the athletes of these countries have practically not competed at international competitions over the past year and a half, it is difficult to assess their form and potential.
