gymnast Lala Kramarenko in an interview with , she told how she met a figure skating coach with her parents Ilya Averbukh which almost upset his sporting destiny.
Kramarenko started her career in rhythmic gymnastics in Baku.
Are you good on skates? Have you ever tried figure skating?
Yes, I did when I was little. Together with my family I rode on New Year’s Eve, but this did not happen for a long time. I would like to try ice spins. Figure skating is a very difficult sport, now it’s easier, especially with Fedya (Varlamov). Admittedly, it is very difficult to persuade him and withdraw him to give me lessons because of the schedules, since the season has already started. But everything is in advance (laughs)!
Do you follow figure skating? Who can you distinguish?
– I follow and always support. Now of course I worry and support Fedya and Varya [Курносенко]Beautiful couple. I only wish them a brilliant and successful trip! So, from early childhood, she loved to watch shows on ice, she dreamed of participating in them.
When I was a child, there was an interesting story: we were walking in Gorky Park, and my parents saw Ilya Averbukh, they wanted to go upstairs and ask how they could see them. And then we were already doing rhythmic gymnastics in Baku. But grandmother and dad said that we would definitely not find a good school in Baku, because figure skating is not developed in this country. Then they didn’t approach Ilya, that’s how figure skating passed me, ”Kramarenko told .
Kramarenko is a triple world junior champion, European champion in 2021 in the team event.
