Earlier, Grassl announced on social media that he was ending his cooperation with Russian coach Eteri Tutberidze.

– We can see that he likes life in Italy more than ours. I don’t like him as a skater. For Eteri Georgievna it is a small loss, but for comrade Graasl it is a serious loss,” Tarasova told .

In January, it was reported that Grassl was training with Tutberidze. The coach herself and her team members Daniil Gleikhengauz and Sergey Dudakov accompanied Grassl to the 2023 World Championships in Saitama (Japan). The Italian figure skater took 12th place in the tournament.
