The first significant achievement of Evgenia Medvedeva at the adult level took place in the 2014/2015 season. Then she became the bronze medalist of the championship of Russia. The skater achieved the main successes in the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons.

In the 2015/2016 season, Medvedeva won the United States Grand Prix and finished second in the Russian Grand Prix, and also managed to become the first Grand Prix final. Then Evgenia Medvedeva won the Russian championship, the European championship and the world championship. In the 2016/2017 season, Medvedeva managed to win the stages of the Grand Prix series in Canada and France, as well as the Grand Prix Final. After that, the athlete again became the champion of Russia, Europe and the world.

In the 2017/2018 season, Evgenia Medvedeva also started quite successfully. She won the Russian Grand Prix and the Chinese Grand Prix. However, Medvedev withdrew from the Grand Prix Final. At the European Championships in Moscow, Evgenia Medvedeva got silver, losing the palm to her compatriot Alina Zagitova. The same development occurred at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Medvedev missed the world championship.

In the 2018/2019 season, Medvedeva’s results became noticeably lower. Evgenia finished fourth in the French Grand Prix and third in the Canadian Grand Prix. In the championship of Russia, Medvedev became only the seventh. However, she went to the 2019 World Cup thanks to her victory in the Russian Cup final. At the world championship, Medvedev became the third. She dropped her compatriot Alina Zagitova and the representative of Kazakhstan Elizabeth Tursynbayeva.

In the 2019/2020 season, Evgenia Medvedeva also managed to get on the ice. She placed second at the Russian Grand Prix and fifth at the Canadian Grand Prix. Medvedev withdrew from the Russian championship. Since 2020, she has not taken part in major competitions. Nevertheless, Evgenia Medvedeva has many fans who follow her active life.
