During the record setting, Ingebrigtsen beat the distance as follows: 400 meters – 56.6 seconds, 800 meters – 1 minute 53.4 seconds, 1,200 meters – 2 minutes 50.8 seconds, 1,600 meters – 3 minutes 48.1 seconds, 2000 meters – 4 minutes. 43.13 seconds.

It should also be noted that Kenyan runner Rinold Kipkorir Cheruiyot finished second with a time of 4 minutes 48.14 seconds, setting a new junior world record.
