Athletistic / Chess. The press service of the Russian Chess Federation (RFF) announced that Russian chess player Alexey Grebnev became the Asian junior champion in 2023. The tournament took place in Jamshedpur (India).
Grebnev won the continental championship title by scoring seven points after nine rounds. The Russian surpassed the Indian chess player Aswat in additional indicators. The top three was completed by another Indian representative, Krishna Rohit, who scored 6.5 points. A total of 58 chess players participated in the competition.
All three prize-winning places at the Asian Junior Women’s Championship were won by Indian athletes. G. Tejaswini won the gold medal, Mukherjee Bristi won the silver medal and Mounika Akshaye Bommini finished third.
