The legendary Tyra and four other representatives of Ukraine won medals on the penultimate day of the Invictus Games-2023

In total, Ukrainians already have 33 medals

Ukrainian national team won 5 medals (2 gold and 3 bronze) on the sixth competition day Invictus Games-2023which are hosted by the German Dusseldorf.

Paramedic became the champion of the competition Yulia Shevchuk (classic bow) and veteran of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Pavel Luchkiv (compound bow). In the final they defeated the Frenchwoman Marie Cecile (6:0) and the German Tom Grünwald (141:134), respectively.

Bronze medalists were Vadim Maznichenko (classic bow), who defeated compatriot Vladimir Tovkis in the bronze medal match, and Yarina Alimanova (cycling, criterium, class IRB3(M)).

Another bronze was won by the legendary Yulia “Tayra” Paevskaya in compound bow shooting. She previously won silver in the 50m freestyle in the ISD class.

Taira was in Russian captivity last year and was unable to take part in the Games in The Hague. The organizers of the competition in 2023 provided her with an additional place in the application of the Ukrainian national team.

In total, Ukrainians already have 33 medals. Among them are 11 gold, 14 silver and 8 bronze. The 2023 Invictus Games in Dusseldorf will end on September 16.

The Invictus Games is an international multidisciplinary competition for former and active military personnel who have been wounded or disabled in service.
