Sainz won the Singapore Grand Prix, Verstappen off the podium

First victory for a Spanish driver of the season

Pilot Ferrari Carlos Sainz won the grand prix Singapore. For the Spaniard, this is the second podium in a row and his debut victory of the season.

Sainz Jr. broke the record hegemony of Max Verstappen (also a hereditary racing driver), who previously won 12 victories in total and 10 in a row this Formula 1 season. The day before, Sainz won pole position for the second time in a row.

Overall leader Verstappen finished the race only fifth – which is not bad considering his failure in qualifying.

Finished second in today’s race Lando Norris from McLaren, the third was the representative of Mercedes Lewis Hamilton.

Also finishing in the top 10 were Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), Max Verstappen (Red Bull), Pierre Gasly (Alpin), Oscar Piastri (McLaren), Sergio Perez (Red Bull) and Liam Lawson (Alfa Tauri).

Esteban Ocon (Alpin) and Yuki Tsunoda (Alpha Tauri) failed to complete the race, just like at the Italian Grand Prix two weeks ago. Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), who suffered an accident in qualifying, did not start.
