The striker is ready to continue his career
Ukrainian striker Minaya Evgeny Seleznev stated that he was considering ending his career. However, the footballer decided to continue performing at a high level and pass on his experience to young people.
“At first I thought whether to finish or not, but I haven’t played enough yet. I see young players reaching out to me. I understand that they need to convey something. Six months – and everything that I have, I will leave them.
“How they will play further is their question. But I want to show how it is necessary to work, no matter how hard it is on a substitute or at the base. And how to do your job. I believe that I can do it. I will show you what needs to be done.”
“If I have an incentive, if there is something to strive for, to work in order to have fun, then for 2 years I will be able to do what I can do.”
On account of Seleznev 117 goals in the championship of Ukraine. The record holders for this indicator are Sergey Rebrov and Maxim Shatskikh, who scored 123 goals each.
Last season, Seleznyov scored one goal in 16 matches for Minay in the Ukrainian Premier League. The player’s current contract with Minay expires at the end of June, but the team’s coach Vladimir Sharan said that the striker would extend the agreement.
The start of the new season in the Ukrainian championship is tentatively scheduled for August 20.
