Athletistic/Wrestling. Russian wrestler Zaur Uguev won the Olympic license for the 2024 Games in Paris in a fight against Kazakhstan representative Meirambek Kartbay. Despite his defeat in the fight for the bronze medal in the under 57 kg category, Uguev managed to defeat Kartbay with a score of 4:0, securing an Olympic quota.

Zaur Uguev, Olympic champion and two-time world champion, obtains a license for the Olympic Games for Russian wrestlers for the third time. However, the International Olympic Committee has not yet made a final decision on the admission of Russian athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The 2023 World Wrestling Championships will conclude on September 24.
