An informal meeting of UPL club presidents will take place in the coming days

The initiators of the event were the presidents of Veres and Polesie

This week, approximately on Wednesday or Thursday (September 20-21), a meeting should take place presidents of Ukrainian Premier League clubs.

The organizers and initiators of the meeting are the presidents Veresa Ivan Nadein And Polesia Gennady Butkevich. The atmosphere of the event will be informal. Reportedly, a lot of presidents or second-in-commands in clubs gave the go-ahead for this meeting.

According to information TaToTake, the topic of the meeting will be the pressing problems of Ukrainian club football. In particular, a frank conversation regarding refereeing is expected.

Previously, according to Alexander Denisov, who now holds the position of director of media, marketing and sponsorship of FC Polesie, club president Butkevich financed the purchase of a third VAR machine for the UPL. At the same time, for the fifth round match, the Zhytomyr club was going to order a VAR system at its own expense.

Nadein in May 2022 was one of the initiators of the resumption of the Ukrainian championship in the conditions of full-scale Russian aggression. President Veresa later criticized the return to free UPL broadcasts, calling it “ten steps back.”

There are currently seven rounds of the 2023/24 Premier League. In the last of them, VAR was used in all eight matches.
