Russian divers Vyacheslav Kachanov and Igor Myalin have been declared for the Uzbekistan national team at the Asian Games, according to the competition’s official website.
Kachanov is the 2021 European champion among juniors in synchronized diving on the three-meter springboard, Myalin at the 2015 Universiade in Gwangju won the synchronized mixed doubles with Daria Govor.
The Asian Games began on September 23 in Hangzhou, China.
Earlier it became known that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) did not allow the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the 2023 Asian Games. Initially, it was announced that they would be allowed to participate in the competition with a neutral status and outside the medal count.
