Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Sergey Ridzik, a two-time Olympic bronze medalist in freestyle skiing in the discipline of ski cross, criticized the ranking system in figure skating and rhythmic gymnastics.
“These point-based sports and disciplines are the most corrupt and impure. Figure skating, for example. Or gymnastics. The cleanest types are those where the clock is won. In figure skating, the scoring system needs to be changed,” says Ridzik.
The athlete added that introducing artificial intelligence to assess jumps in figure skating seemed like a logical step. But he also believes that the judges will not turn to what will be crossed out.
