According to , the Russian pair of figure skaters Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin suspended work with coach Igor Shpilband and have not yet agreed on a permanent basis with a new mentor.
Earlier, reported that Russian coach Eteri Tutberidze, whose daughter is Diana, flew to the United States partly to help the couple resolve the problem with the coach. The parties had contradictions, as a result of which the work with Shpilband was suspended. It is currently unknown whether they will resume cooperation, as well as who could replace Shpilband as the couple’s permanent coach.
Earlier, the American blog The Skating Lessons had reported that Davis and Smolkin could change their sports citizenship from Russian to American. The couple denied the message.
