Chupkov, Kameneva and Starostina won the first day of the Belarus Open Cup

olympic medalist Anton Chupkov won the 200m breaststroke at the Belarus Swimming Open.

At these competitions, which are held in Brest, Chupkov swam 200 meters in 2 minutes 09.98 seconds. Belarus national team leader Ilya Shimanovich was second in 2:11.54, while Russia’s Mikhail Dorinov was third in 2:13.55.

In the 200 butterfly, Ivan Shamshurin (Belarus) won in 1:58.97, second and third were Russia’s Alexander Andreev (1:59.45) and Dmitry Novichkov (1:59.62).

Russian Victoria Starostina won the 200 m medley – 2: 15.37, Anastasia Sorokina – the second (2: 15.77), third place was taken by Oksana Bolshakova (Belarus) – 2: 22.58.

In the 50m crawl, Maria Kameneva won with 24.45, Arina Surkova was second with 24.78 and Anastasia Koryakovskaya was third with 25.58. Ilya Shevchenko (22.49) showed the best male result at this distance, Andrei Zhilkin was second (22.55), Grigory Pekarsky (Belarus) was third (22.81).

At a distance of 200 m breaststroke, Alina Zmushko (Belarus) won – 2: 26.09, Russians Irina Shvaeva (2: 27.51) and Anna Chernysheva (2: 30.61) became second and third, respectively.

The Russian team (Vladislav Grinev, Alexander Shchegolev, Vladislav Reznichenko, Martin Malyutin in the final) won the 4x200m freestyle relay (7:19.68). The second was the team from Minsk (7:39.30), the third – the team from the Nizhny Novgorod region (7:41.64). The women’s team of the Russian national team won the 4 x 100 m freestyle relay (Arina Surkova, Daria Trofimova, Daria Tatarinova, Yana Shakirova) – 3:45.03. Second place belongs to the Minsk team – 3:51.82. The Brest region team finished third – 3:55.76.
