Padun to miss Tour de France this summer

The Ukrainian was not included in the top eight of the EF Education team – EasyPost

Ukrainian cyclist of the EF Education team – EasyPost Mark Padun will not take part in Tour de France this summer.

The 25-year-old Ukrainian was not included in the top eight athletes whom the American team delegates to the start of the famous multi-day race in Danish Copenhagen.

Thus, Padun’s Tour de France debut is delayed. The French Grand Tour remains the only one that Mark did not participate in.

At the same time, in December last year, the head of EF Education – EasyPost focused on Padun’s prospects at the stages of the Grand Tours, after which Mark was not included in the team’s application for the Giro d’Italia.

The best result in Padun’s career on the Grand Tours remains 59th place in the general classification of last year’s Vuelta, which the Ukrainian rode in the Bahrain Victorious team.

On Friday, July 1, the Tour de France kicks off with a 13-kilometer cut-off in Copenhagen.
