Duplantis conquered a height of 6.16 meters. He surpassed his own feat. The previous record was set by him, it was 6.15 meters. Duplantis installed it during competitions in Rome (Italy) on September 17, 2020. Then Arman broke the record of Soviet athlete Sergei Bubka.

Notably, the indoor record also belongs to Duplantis.
