Second victory for Krastins’ team in five qualifying matches
Men’s Ukrainian national volleyball team defeated Qatar in the third match of the qualifying tournament at Olympic Games 2024 – 3:1.
The match with the main outsider of Group A was by no means easy for Ugis Krastiņš’s team. The Asians put up a fight in every game, even managing to win one game – for the second time in five matches.
The victory allowed our team to score 7 points and rise to fifth place in the table. The leaders in the octet are Germany (15) and Italy (12). Only two teams from the group will qualify for the Olympics, so the Ukrainian team still has a meager chance.
Krastiņš’s team needs to not only beat the Czech Republic (the meeting today, October 7, at 23:00) and Germany with a non-minimum score in the remaining matches, but also hope for successful results in other matches.
