New record recorded in the men’s pole vault

Swedish athlete Armand Duplantisna has updated his success on the home stage of the Diamond League.

Armand Duplantis broke the world record in the pole vault. It happened at home, for the Swedish jumper, the Diamond League stage in Stockholm.

The 22 -year -old athlete covered the mark of 6.16 m and, thus, broke his own record set in 2020 – 6.15 m Before that, the world record belonged to Ukrainian Sergey Bubka – 6.14 m, and held for 26 years.

“It’s a very special moment. I want to do something special. I feel like I’m supported in Stockholm, the city where I live. It’s my home and that’s why this record is over which is important to me.
